Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the art of reading the Qur'an using the RAST rhythm method at TPQ Al-Amin East Purwokerto. The research question posed is how the implementation of the art of reading the Qur'an using the RAST rhythm at TPQ Al-Amin East Purwokerto. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, while the research design employed is a case study. The selection of research subjects is purposive, meaning they are chosen based on specific considerations and objectives. The criteria for informants in this research are as follows: a) informants are instructors at TPQ Al-Amin; b) informants teach the RAST rhythm, c) informants have been instructors at TPQ Al-Amin for a minimum of 1 year. Data collection is conducted through interviews and observations. The results of this research depict that the implementation of learning the Qur’an using the RAST rhythm is quite effective. The conclusion drawn from this study is that the RAST rhythm is not only effective in teaching tajwid, but also in enhancing the active participation and collaboration of students in learning the Qur’an.
