Abstract

In Bekasi Regency, many roads are damaged due to lack of maintenance. This can be proven by the many roads with potholes and puddles, causing anxiety and concern in the community because they have caused many accidents and made transportation difficult for the community. For this reason, researchers are interested in raising this title because they want to know: How is the Implementation of Road Infrastructure Maintenance Policies in Bekasi City? In this study the authors used the theory of George C. Edward III (Dwiyanto Indiahano, 2017:31-33) to determine the extent to which the Policy Implementation was successful. There are four aspects that influence the successful implementation of a policy, namely: communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, in which the researcher provides an overview of the implementation of road infrastructure maintenance. the technique used by researchers in this study was purposive sampling. According to (Sugiyono, 2017) purposive sampling is a sampling technique with certain considerations. There were several informants in this study as follows: Executive Staff, Head of Road Construction, Sub-Coordinator of Road Planning and Road Maintenance Section. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the Implementation of the Road Infrastructure Maintenance Policy in Bekasi Regency has been carried out well, this is evidenced by indicators regarding policy implementation, namely: Communication, Resources, Disposition and Bureaucratic Structure. Of the four indicators, the one that most influences the process of policy implementation in the maintenance of road infrastructure is the resource indicator from the aspect of budgetary resources in its implementation which has not been maximized because there are still problems in the maintenance of these roads. This is because the provision of funds by the Bekasi Regency government is lacking in the APBD and also human resources are still very minimal, especially technical personnel, so that several road repair points are not going well.
