Abstract
Study Program : Elementary School Teacher Education Skripsi Title : Use of VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) Model to Improve Understanding of Science Concepts at SDN Bojong Rawa Lumbu X East Bekasi. This research was motivated by problems about the low understanding of science concepts in grade IV students of SDN Bojong Rawa Lumbu X East Bekasi. The problem is; 1) Students are still less able to explain the material being studied, 2) Students are also still less able to provide examples of material, 3) Students are also still less able to classify the material, 4) Students are also still less able to conclude the material they learned. In overcoming this problem, it is necessary to apply the VAK Model (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) which aims to improve understanding of concepts in grade IV science subjects of SDN Bojong Rawa Lumbu X East Bekasi. The research method used is PTK (Classroom Action Research) which consists of two cycles, with subjects totaling 40 students and each cycle consisting of two meetings. And each cycle includes four stages consisting of action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. This data collection uses collection techniques in the form of written tests and observations. The success criteria in this study are 80% with a predetermined KKM value of 75. Based on the results of research from each cycle, it obtained an increase in the classical percentage in the first cycle activities by 48% with an average value of 68.9 and in the second cycle by 83% with an average value of 88.2. The cycle will be terminated if students have achieved the classical completion score target of 80% in grade IV science subjects at SDN Bojong Rawa Lumbu X East Bekasi through the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) model.
