Abstract
Alifia Maurizka Ardianti. 41182911160103. THE VALUES OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION ACCORDING TO LUKMAN HAKIM SAIFUDDIN AND RELEVANCE TO ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION. Islamic Education Study Program. Islamic University ”45” Bekasi. (1444 H/2023 M). (147 Pages). This study aims to examine the values of religious moderation according to Lukman Hakim Saifuddin and their relevance to Islamic religious education. In the midst of rampant radicalism and extremism in Indonesia, especially in educational institutions. The study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach, and the type of research conducted is library research. The data used in this research are collected and analyzed from previous literature works. The qualitative approach is employed to gain a profound understanding of a figure’s thoughts through their works. The result of this study is to explain that Lukman Hakim Saifuddin emphasizes the importance of values of religious moderation in maintaining harmony and balance in religious practices. The values of religious moderation proposed include tolerance, justice, peace, dialogue, and equality. The relevance of the values of religious moderation to Islamic religious education lies in the goal of creating a generation with a broad perspective, who appreciate differences and engage in constructive dialogue. Islamic religious education can play a crucial role in disseminating and teaching the values of religious moderation to the younger generation, enabling them to practice these values in their daily lives. To implement the values of religious moderation in Islamic religious education, the development of a curriculum that integrates the concept of religious moderation and teaching methods that encourage open discussions and deep understanding is necessary. Additionally, training and development for religious teachers are vital steps to enhance their understanding of the values of religious moderation and their ability to teach them to students.
