Abstract
Many iron pipes are used in everyday life. In their role will be found several problems. Based on several problems that arise, this study will discuss the problem of cracks. The selection of gaps due to side effects that can result in the loss of some both in terms of material and function. This study discusses the problem of changes in the shape of a pipe with an outer diameter of 30.40 mm at a pipe thickness of 1.2 mm which is exposed to stress during the bending process. In each pipe treated; without filling pipe, sand filling pipe, spring filling pipe. In each pipe cut with a length of 50 cm bent at an angle of 90°, the pipe without filling experienced a very significant change in the diameter of the pipe and the surface of the pipe there were rough defects on the outer surface of the pipe and wrinkles. For the test results, the pipe with sand filling experienced a significant change in the diameter of the pipe and the pipe surface there were fine defects on the outer surface of the pipe and fine wrinkles. For pipe testing with spring filling, there is no significant change to the diameter of the pipe and the surface of the pipe there is a wave defect on the outer surface of the pipe. For pipe testing results by providing variations of pipe filling without filling, sand filling pipes, and spring filling pipes.
