Abstract

Smart City becomes a big issue in Indonesia and in the world that focuses on the involvement of the community's in urban development by using a centric approach. This is conducted by the government as one of the solution to tacle various problems that occur in urban areas. Smart City Concept has been implemented in several major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bekasi as a part of them. The background of this research based on the concept of Smart City which is also in line with the vision and mission of Bekasi City which is to "Wujudkan Bekasi Maju, Sejahtera and Ikhsan". The purpose of this research is to know the opinion of young people of Bekasi city towards Smart City policy. In addition, this study also to find out information on the participation of young people to Bekasi Smart City policy. By using qualitative research methods and descriptive data analysis can be invented how knowledge and involvement of young people of Bekasi city towards this policy. The latest, to see how the implementation of smart city policy in the Bekasi city.
