Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode Ummi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari masalah yang banyak ditemukan di masyarakat yaitu rendahnya kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an baik anak-anak maupun dewasa. Hal ini disebabkan oleh banyaknya faktor seperti, belum memahami ilmu tajwid, buta huruf hijaiyah, kurangnya motivasi dan penerapan metode yang kurang menarik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pencarian data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun tempat penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cileungsi yang dilakukan selama 1 bulan. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasannya, penerapan metode Ummi di SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cileungsi sudah dijalankan sesuai dengan ketentuan dari Ummi Foundation. Pembelajaran Ummi dilakukan empat kali dalam seminggu dengan durasi 60 menit setiap pertemuan. Terdapat tujuh tahapan pembelajaran yang digunakan yaitu pembukaan, apersepsi, penanaman konsep, pemahaman konsep, latihan/keterampilan, evaluasi, dan penutup. Model pembelajaran yang dipakai adalah klasikal individual dan individual. Dalam penerapan metode Ummi terdapat faktor pendukung seperti guru yang bersertifikasi, alat peraga, buku jilid Ummi, dan adanya pembagian kelompok. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya ialah keterbatasan waktu dan jumlah guru yang mengajar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwasannya, penerapan metode Ummi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik di SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cileungsi. This research is motivated by a problem that is often found in society, namely the low ability to read the Koran for both children and adults. This is causedby many factors such as not understanding the science of recitation, hijaiyah illiteracy, lack of motivation and the application of methods that are less attractive. This type of research is a qualitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research location was carried out at SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cileungsi which was carried out for 1 month. The findings of this study indicate that the application of the Ummi method at SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cileungsi has been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Ummi Foundation. Ummi's lessons are conducted four times a week with a duration of 60 minutes each meeting. There are seven stages of learning used namely opening, apperception, instilling concepts, understanding concepts, training/skills, evaluation, and closing. The learning model used is individual and individual classical. In applying the Ummi method there are supporting factors such as certified teachers, visual aids, Ummi volume books, and the existence of group divisions. While the inhibiting factors are limited time and the number of teachers who teach. It can be concluded that the application of the Ummi method can improve the ability to read the Koran of students at SD Muhammadiyah 02 Cileungsi.
