Abstract

ABSTRACT One of the problems faced by adolescents is premarital sexual behavior, this is due to the presence of hormones in the body that become active in the adolescent phase, such as hormones that work on reproductive organs. The 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) explains that young women aged 15-24 years and young men admit to having had sexual intercourse before marriage and some of them experience unwanted pregnancies. Data from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) in 2010 showed that out of 100 adolescents, 51 in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang and Bekasi had premarital sex. Internal factors that influence premarital sex behavior are caused by a lack of religiosity in adolescents and individuals tend to commit moral disengagement when they see themselves doing the wrong thing which reduces feelings of guilt in individuals so that individuals easily carry out contradictory moral behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the description and influence of religiosity and moral detachment on premarital sex behavior in adolescents. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational design. Subjects numbered 84 teenagers and came from Bekasi City. Likewise, the sampling technique uses the convenience sampling technique. The data collection method in this study was a questionnaire. The instruments used were the religiosity scale, the moral disengagement scale, and the premarital sex behavior scale using the Likert model. The instrument reliability test using the Cronbach Alpha formula yielded a value of r alpha = 0.878 for the religiosity scale, a value of r alpha = 0.898 for the moral disengagement scale and a value of r alpha = 0.962 for the scale of premarital sex behavior. The results of the description of the religiosity variable are in the high category of 89.3%, the moral disengagement variable is in the low category of 6%, and the variable of premarital sex behavior is in the low category of 9.5%. The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test between religiosity and premarital sex behavior show a correlation coefficient = -0.227 (very weak) with a significant value = 0.011 (p <0.05), which means Ha1 is accepted and H01 is rejected. The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test between moral disengagement and premarital sex behavior show a correlation coefficient = 0.411 (sufficient) with a significant value = 0.000 (p <0.05) which means Ha2 is accepted and H02 is rejected. The results of multiple regression tests between religiosity and moral disengagement on premarital sex behavior show a value of F=23.442, p=0.000 (<0.05), which means that religiosity and moral disengagement have an influence on premarital sex behavior. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.367, it means that religiosity and moral disengagement affect premarital sex behavior by 36.7%, while 63.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
