Abstract

Bekasi Regency is one of the f MT Haryono Road is one of the main roads connecting residential areas with industrial estates, and it frequently experiences traffic congestion, particularly during the morning and evening rush hours. As a two-lane, undivided road, the MT Haryono section often suffers from traffic congestion due to the high volume of vehicles passing through. The aim of this study is to analyse the performance of the MT Haryono road section in Cibitung under current conditions using the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI), which currently serve as the official reference for analysing the capacity and performance of road sections in Indonesia. The analysis showed that the highest traffic volume on weekdays in the southbound direction between 06:00 and 09:00 was 9,851.6 vehicles per hour, whilst the lowest traffic volume on public holidays in the northbound direction between 11:00 and 13:00 was 1,063 vehicles per hour. The results of the Level of Service (LOS) calculation for the MT Haryono road section show that the highest LOS value occurred on weekdays in the southbound direction between 06:00 and 09:00, with a Degree od saturation value of 8,276, categorised as LOS F, whilst the lowest LOS value was recorded on public holidays in the northbound direction between 11.00 and 13.00, with a Dj value of 0.893, categorised as LOS E (Unstable Flow).
