Abstract

High school students are faced with various choices of further education and careers, requiring career decision-making self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the relationship between conformity and perceived social support with career decision-making self-efficacy, as well as the influence of both variables on students at State Senior High School 5 South Tambun. This study employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 273 students selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected using the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale, the Conformity Scale, and the Perceived Social Support Scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, Spearman's rho correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results showed a significant positive relationship between conformity and career decision-making self-efficacy (rₛ = 0.544; p < 0.001) and between perceived social support and career decision-making self-efficacy (rₛ = 0.587; p < 0.001). Furthermore, conformity and perceived social support jointly had a significant effect on career decision-making self-efficacy (R² = 0.348; F = 72.088; p < 0.001).
