Abstract

The divorce rate in Bogor Regency continues to increase, triggered by disputes and economic factors. Married couples who both work in Cibatok 1 Village, Cibungbulang District show dynamics in the form of physical fatigue, difficulty controlling emotions, and lack of open communication due to the burden of dual roles. This condition indicates low marital satisfaction. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional maturity and interpersonal communication on marital satisfaction in working married couples. This research design uses a quantitative method. The research subjects involved 154 respondents, working married couples aged 25–40 years with a maximum marriage age of 10 years, determined through a quota sampling technique based on G Power. The results of the simultaneous multiple linear regression test showed a value of F = 56.219, p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), with R2 = 0.427. Based on these statistical results, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, which means there is a significant influence simultaneously between emotional maturity and interpersonal communication on marital satisfaction in working married couples. The rejection of the null hypothesis proves that the variation in marital satisfaction of 42.7% is significantly influenced linearly by the two independent variables in the model tested.
