Abstract

Students often face various academic demands that may affect their ability to cope with academic challenges. Academic resilience is essential in dealing with these challenges, and mindfulness is considered one of the factors that can enhance it. This study aimed to examine the effect of mindfulness on academic resilience among active students at Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi. This quantitative study employed a correlational design and involved 352 active undergraduate students selected using a cluster sampling technique. Data were collected using the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) and the Academic Resilience Scale-30 (ARS-30). Data were analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation and simple linear regression. The results showed that most students had moderate levels of mindfulness (67.9%) and academic resilience (61.1%). Simple linear regression analysis indicated that mindfulness had a positive and significant effect on academic resilience (β = 3.564, p < 0.05), explaining 44.9% of the variance in academic resilience. These findings indicate that higher levels of mindfulness are associated with higher levels of academic resilience among students.
