Abstract
This study was motivated by the low science learning outcomes of elementary school students caused by students’ low interest in science subjects due to boredom during the learning process, lack of student activeness, and the use of conventional teacher-centered learning models. The learning outcomes indicate the effectiveness of the Make a Match model. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Make A Match learning model and its effect on science learning outcomes of elementary school students based on a literature review. The method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA approach. Data were collected through searching scientific articles in the Google Scholar database using relevant keywords. The inclusion criteria included articles published between 2021–2026, research subjects involving elementary school students, and studies discussing the Make A Match learning model and science learning outcomes. Based on the selection process, 11 journals were systematically analyzed. The results showed that the Make A Match learning model is effective in improving science learning outcomes of elementary school students. This is indicated by the increase in average scores and the percentage of learning mastery. The conclusion of this study is that the Make A Match learning model is an effective alternative learning model to improve science learning outcomes of elementary school students.
