Abstract
This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics, particularly in the measurement of time. This is evident in the difficulties some students experience in solving math problems, low memory skills, students' lack of mastery of the material, and low learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine improvements in mathematics learning outcomes using the demonstration method with concrete media for second-grade students at SDS IT Prestasi Cendekia. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Twenty-three students, 11 boys and 12 girls, participated in the study. Data collection techniques used written tests and observations. The success criterion for this study was 80%, with a predetermined Minimum Completion (KKM) score of 75. The results showed that the classical mastery of second-grade students increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The classical percentage in cycle I was 39% with an average score of 68.26. In cycle II, this increased to 91% with an average score of 85.24. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the rock demonstration method with concrete media can result in significant improvements in student learning outcomes in mathematics and time measurement for second-grade students at SDS IT Prestasi Cendekia.
