Abstract

LHAM KURNIA PUTRA, 41182191180078: The Relationship Between Arm Muscle Power and Hand-Eye Coordination on The Resulth Of Free Throw Shooting In Basketball In Extracurricular Students At SMAN 1 Tarumajaya. This study was motivated by the low free throw shooting accuracy among basketball extracurricular students at SMAN 1 Tarumajaya, allegedly caused by suboptimal arm muscle power and hand-eye coordination. The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between arm muscle power and hand-eye coordination with free throw shooting performance. A quantitative descriptive correlational method was used, involving a sample of 30 students selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments included the medicine ball throw test (arm muscle power), small ball catch test (hand-eye coordination), and a free throw shooting test with 20 attempts. The results showed a significant relationship between arm muscle power and free throw shooting results (r = 0.712, p = 0.000), as well as between hand-eye coordination and free throw shooting results (r = 0.681, p = 0.000). Simultaneously, arm muscle power and hand-eye coordination contributed 59% to the free throw shooting performance (R2 = 0.590, p = 0.000). It can be concluded that the better the students' arm muscle power and hand-eye coordination, the higher their free throw shooting accuracy.
