Abstract
ABSTRACT Farah Fauziah. 41182911200083 ISLAMIC PARENTING IN OVERCOMING ONLINE GAME ADDICTION IN CHILDREN IN KAMPUNG DUA HURTUS KOTA BEKASI. Bekasi Thesis: Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Islamic University 45 Bekasi This study aims to understand the application of the Islamic parenting approach in overcoming online game addiction in children in Kampung Dua Ratus, Bekasi City. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data reconstruction. This study highlights how the five main principles of Islamic parenting, namely role models, advice, habituation, full attention, and wise punishment play a role in helping to overcome online game addiction in children. The results of the study show that this approach based on Islamic values is able to strengthen positive character, increase self-control, and train children's sense of responsibility and discipline. Parents who apply this approach can provide an effective positive influence in overcoming online game addiction. This study is expected to provide practical insights for parents, educators, and the wider community to apply Islamic principles in facing the challenges of digitalization in the younger generation.
