Abstract
This research was motivated by the low poetry writing skills of students in Indonesian language subjects in class III at SDN Pasirsari 02 Bekasi Regency. The problems are not being able to put together words that connect with other words, not being able to make a title that suits the content of the poem, being confused about making poetry that has meaning, not being able to express an idea in writing, not being able to master the vocabulary properly. good and right. Therefore, the aim of this research is to improve the poetry writing skills of class III students in Indonesian language subjects using the experiential learning model at SDN Pasirsari 02 Bekasi Regency. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle held 3 meetings and went through planning, implementation, assessment and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were 33 class III students at SDN Pasirsari 02 Bekasi Regency, consisting of 15 male students and 18 female students. The research success indicator is 100% of the number of students reaching the KKM, namely 75. From the research results, it was found that the percentage of classical completeness in cycle I was 51%, increasing in cycle II to 100%. The average score in cycle I was 59, increasing in cycle II to 87. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the experiential learning model can improve the poetry writing skills of class III students in Indonesian language subjects at SDN Pasirsari 02, Bekasi Regency.
