Abstract

The success of the learning process at school is determined by the happiness and satisfaction felt by students at school or School Well-Being. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of grit and self-esteem on School Well-Being. This research is quantitative research. The subjects in this research were 82 grade 12 students at SMK Cibitung 1. The data collection method in this research uses psychological scales, namely the grit scale with a reliability Cronbach Alpha value of 0.813, the self-esteem scale with a reliability Cronbach Alpha value of 0.890 and the School Well-Being scale with a reliability Cronbach Alpha value of 0.869. The research results showed that there was a low but significant positive relationship between grit and School Well-Being with a Spearman Rank value of r=0.342, p=0.002 (p<0.05). Furthermore, there is a very strong and significant positive relationship between self-esteem and School Well-Being with r=0.827, p=0.000 (p<0.05). The results of the multiple linear regression test of grit and self-esteem on School Well-Being with a value of F=92.546 with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05) shows that there is an influence of grit and self-esteem on School Well-Being.
