Abstract

Lately, aggressive behavior such as bullying has also become a global problem, and one of them is happening in Indonesia.. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between emotional regulation difficulties and bystander effects with bullying behavior. This study uses a quantitative method with adolescent subjects aged 15-19 years. The data collection method uses interviews and psychological scales. The quality of the instrument used the content validity test and construct validity, the reliability test used alpha cronbach with a result of r alpha 0.839 for the bullying behavior scale, r alpha 0.921 for the difficulty scale of emotion regulation, r alpha 0.839 for the bystander effect scale. Data analysis techniques with descriptive analysis, hypothesis test, and hypothesis test. The hypothesis test uses spearman rank and multiple linear regression test. The results of the correlation test were that there was a strong positive relationship between the difficulty of emotional regulation and bullying behavior of the sign value. <0.05 (p=0.000) and a correlation value (1.000), then there was a negative relationship between the bystander effect and bullying behavior due to the sign value. <0.05 (p=0.0.56) and correlation value (0.140). The results of the multiple linear regression test showed that there was an effect between the difficulty of emotional regulation and the bystander effect on bullying behavior with a value (F 76.490, p<0.000).
