Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the trainer's perception of interpersonal communication and its influence on the achievement motivation of Pencak Silat Athletes from the Faithful Heart Brotherhood of Depok City. This research method uses a quantitative approach. The sample used in this research was the Depok City Faithful Brotherhood pencak silat athletes with a total sample of 40 pencak silat athletes and the sampling technique used was Saturated Sampling. This research uses primary data in the form of quantitative data collected through a questionnaire on the Perception of Interpersonal Communication of Coaches and its Influence on the Achievement Motivation of Pencak Silat Athletes from the Depok City Faithful Brotherhood and then processed using the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) program version 25. The results of this research show that communication Interpersonal has a significant positive effect on achievement motivation (β1=0.640; t-count 6.973; sig 0.000). The results of the Adjusted R Square have a coefficient of determination of 55%. The achievement motivation of the Depok City Faithful Brotherhood pencak silat athletes is influenced by interpersonal communication variables while the remaining 45% is influenced by other factors not included in the research model.
