Abstract

The cyber community is growing rapidly in the pandemic era because the internet has become the main medium for communication. The XK-Wavers community is a community that carries Islamic teachings by making Korean culture its main attraction. This research aims to analyze the formation of Islamic values that occur in this community and how to maintain them. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a descriptive approach, where data collection in this research uses observation and interview techniques with information sources, namely admins from the XK-Wavers community. The concept used in this research is the formation of Islamic values in cyber communication. The results of this research show that in maintaining Islamic values, according to Islamic beliefs there are also several aspects that become references, namely the value of faith, the value of worship, and the value of morals. These values can be identified from the activities or programs created by the XK-Wavers community. Through participation in these programs, members and admins can help maintain Islamic values within themselves. There is a distinctive characteristic of the XK-Wavers community, namely providing content that is presented on various social media platforms. They make Islamic religious content an interesting thing to discuss by bringing their preferences to the Korean Wave. This was done because Korean culture itself has many fans, especially from teenagers to adults. Also supported by millennial preaching influencers who always make the XK-Wavers community a unique community.
