Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of Wage on Employee Motivation at PT Wira Surya Mandiri, and to determine the effect of Job Stress on Employee Motivation at PT WSM. This study employs a quantitative method. The sample consists of 60 individuals, data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaire distribution, and literature review. Data analysis utilizes statistical tests such as validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis conducted using Statistical Product and Service Solution 26 (SPSS 26). Based on the data analysis, it was found that Wage has a significant and positive influence on Employee Motivation. This is supported by the t-test result where the wage variable yielded t-value = 6.769 with significance level (sig) of 0.000, which is less than the designated 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Hence, wage and job stress collectively influence employee motivation by 6.769. This indicates that the t-test results show that wage has a positive and significant effect on employee motivation. The job stress variable also has a positive significant effect on employee motivation, as evidenced by the t-test result with t-value of 3.169 and significance level of 0.002 < a = 0.05, thus rejecting Ho and accepting Ha. From the research findings, the coefficient of determination (R-squared) is 0.651, meaning that the combined effect of Wage and Job Stress on Employee Motivation is 65.1%, while the remaining 34.9% (100% - 65.1%) is influenced by other factors.
