Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of supervisory and punishment variables on the work discipline of employees of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Bekasi Regency. This study used a descriptive quantitative method approach with the population of all employees of the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Bekasi Regency, with a research sample consisting of 38 respondents. Presentation of research data using primary and secondary data, with data collection methods using questionnaire techniques and interviews presented directly to research respondents through questionnaire sheets and interviews. The sampling technique uses a type of non-probability sampling, in the form of a saturated sampling technique that is analyzed using partial least square (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software version 4.0.9.2. The results obtained from this study, namely supervisory and punishment variables have a positive and significant influence on the work discipline of employees of the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Bekasi Regency. The results obtained from this study, namely the supervisory variable has a positive and significant influence on the work discipline of employees of the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Bekasi Regency, so that it can be interpreted that increased supervision carried out on employees by the organization, can improve employee work discipline in the organization. While the punishment variable has a positive and significant influence on the work discipline of employees of the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Bekasi Regency, this can be interpreted that increasing the provision of punishment carried out to interdisciplinary employees, will improve and maintain employee work discipline in the organization. It is hoped that future research can develop research even better, by adding other variables or mediating variables that affect work discipline, which are not discussed in this study.
