Abstract

The need for information is a need that every individual has to complete their knowledge. Currently, many doctors in the Tiktok application share information about health education. One of them is Dr. Ika Devi Sp.PD who discusses internal medicine health. This study aims to determine how the relationship between the health education account @dr. Ika Devi, Sp.PD to fulfill information needs about internal diseases. The research method used is quantitative with descriptive and explanatory analysis. This type of research that uses data collection techniques is a survey. The sampling was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling technique using 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that there is a very strong relationship between social media and information needs, this is evidenced by the results of the person correlation where the significant results are below 0.005 and the results of the person correlation value at 804 which is stated to be very strong. The information conveyed on the TikTok @dr.Ika Devi Sp.PD account has a positive and significant effect on fulfilling information needs (Ha accepted). It can be seen from the simple linear regression coefficient value of the TikTok social media account (β) of 0.347 and the results of the significance value obtained of 0.000 are smaller than the required standard of 0.000 <0.05, so the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
