Euis Nursafaah. 41182911160060. The Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Improving Students' Emotional Intelligence. Faculty of Islamic Studies. UNISMA Bekasi. 2022 M/1444 H. 96 This study was aimed to determine the role of PAI teachers in increasing students' emotional intelligence at SMKN 3 Kota Bekasi and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing students' emotional intelligence. This study used a qualitative descriptive research based on the philosophy of postpositivism, used to research on natural object conditions, where the researcher is the key instrument, data collection techniques are carried out in triangulation (combined), data analysis is inductive/qualitative, and the results of the research emphasize more meaning rather than generalization. The result of the study was showed that PAI teachers at SMKN 3 Bekasi City acted as motivators, class managers, as mediators and facilitators, and as evaluators to be able to develop students' emotional intelligence. As a motivator the teacher must be able to foster enthusiasm in students and provide motivation to students to behave commendably. As a class manager, it begins with prayer, absences and apperception. As a mediator or facilitator, the teacher invites students to work in groups or groups and the teacher evaluates student activities during class. Supporting factors in increasing students' emotional intelligence were parental motivation, teachers, environment, media, learning materials, condition of infrastructure, active role of BP/BK teachers, and collaboration and communication. The inhibiting factors were too many excuses from students, time constraints, information flow, external family and community factors, and teacher's self-doubt.
