Abstract

ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the role of teachers in instilling a religious culture by internalizing religious values which is the role of PAI teachers in schools. One of the religious activities carried out at school is congregational prayer, carrying out Islamic holidays consisting of Isra' Mi'raj, Maulid Nabi, and 1 Muharram, 3S culture (Smile, greeting, greeting). The purpose of this study is to describe the role of PAI teachers in instilling a religious culture and knowing the religious values instilled at SMAN 6 Tambun Selatan.This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were two PAI teachers. Data collection used interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis in this study was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting and drawing conclusions. Data validity in this study used triangulation of sources and techniques. the results showed that: The role of PAI teachers in instilling a religious culture at SMAN 6 Tambun Selatan includes; Teachers and Educators, PAI teachers provide teaching materials and media to support the PAI learning process and direct students to have good behavior, Mentors, in the form of directing, advising directly through direct approach with students, Exemplars, in the form of giving direct examples such as good speech. Religious values instilled by PAI teachers at SMAN 6 Tambun Selatan; The value of faith, the value of worship, the value of muamalah, the value of discipline, the value of Ruhul Jihad.
