Abstract

ABSTRACT Siti Zahra Fauziyah. 41182911160144. The Effect of Problem Solving Method on Student Learning Outcomes of Fiqh in Class IX (Quasi Experiment at SMPIT Baitul Ilmi). Islamic Education Study Program. Islamic University "45" Bekasi. 1444 H/2023 M, 84 Pages. This study aims to determine the effect of problem solving methods on student learning outcomes of fiqh in class IX at SMPIT Baitul Ilmi Tambun Utara, Bekasi. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class IX.B totaling 21 students as the experimental group who were given the treatment of problem solving learning methods and class IX.D totaling 21 as the control group who were given the lecture method learning treatment. The instrument of this research is a test in the form of multiple choice which measures the learning outcomes of fiqh on the material of zakat fitrah and zakat mal. Data analysis was performed by normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing (t test). The results of the study obtained data on the average value of the experimental group's fiqh learning outcomes, namely students who were given the problem solving method treatment of 81.38 which was higher than the control group who were given the lecture method treatment of 73.47. The results of the hypothesis test using the t test (test of average differences) obtained a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that the hypothesis proposed was tested for truth. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant effect of the problem solving method on student learning outcomes in fiqh class IX SMPIT Baitul Ilmi.
