Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of multiplication material for mathematics at SDIT YPI 45 Bekasi based on the results of observations and interviews at the school. This is caused by students who have difficulty operating multiplication problems of two numbers and three numbers, students have difficulty placing the right numbers when doing multiplication which results in hundreds and thousands, students still calculate using repeated addition for multiplication with results of hundreds and thousands and students still have difficulty separating the remainder of the multiplication. So that it affects the learning outcomes they get. The following is the data on the average value of students in multiplication learning outcomes, namely with a percentage of 33%. Of the 27 students there were 9 students who passed. The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes through the Lattice Method in class V SDIT YPI 45 Bekasi. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on multiplication material using the lattice method for class V SDIT YPI 45 Bekasi. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 2 cycles and each cycle consisted of 5 stages, problem development planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in the form of tests, to measure the success rate of student learning in solving the questions given at the end of the cycle. Then the results of the data were analyzed descriptively and simple statistical analysis, descriptive analysis described the course of the learning process, while simple statistical analysis included individual completeness, classical completeness, indicator values and average student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study consisted of 27 students of class V (17 male students and 10 female students). With a classical completeness percentage of 80% The results showed that the initial test of the percentage of classical learning completeness was 33% with an average grade of 44.1, then in cycle I the percentage of classical learning completeness was 62,96% with an average grade of 70,33 and cycle II the percentage of learning completeness classically it is 85,18% with an average grade of 87,37. From cycle II the data obtained has reached the expected value and has reached more than 80% of students who have completed their studies. So this research can be stopped in cycle II learning outcomes on multiplication material using the lattice method.
