Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and embarrassment with online cell-presentation to Instagram users, as well as the influence between self-esteem and shame on online self-presentation behavior. This study uses a quantitative method with a research design using correlational research. The subjects in this study were 83 teenagers at SMK PGRI Karisma Bangsa consisting of 50 girls and 33 boys. Methods of data collection using interviews and psychological scales. The data analysis technique used the Spearman's Rho correlation test and multiple linear regression tests. The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test between self-esteem and online self-presentation show a correlation coefficient = -0.419 (sufficient) with a significant value = 0.000 (p <0.05), which means Ha1 is accepted and H01 is rejected. The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test between embarrassment and online self-presentation show a correlation coefficient = 0.421 (sufficient) with a significant value = 0.000 (p <0.05) which means Ha2 is accepted and H02 is rejected. The results of multiple regression tests between self-esteem and embarrassment towards online self-presentation show a value of F=90.409, p=0.000 (<0.05), which means that self-esteem and shame have an influence on online self-presentation.
