Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the application of the paired storytelling learning model in improving elementary school students' speaking skills. The dilator of this research is that students experience difficulties in participating in Indonesian language learning, especially when participating in learning that involves speaking skills. In speaking, many students make mistakes in using or speaking Indonesian properly and correctly, passive students in class do not dare to express ideas or ideas and express opinions and the learning outcomes, especially speaking skills, are still low. In such conditions it is necessary to get attention. One solution that can overcome these problems is by applying a paired storytelling learning model. This research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data obtained using data collection techniques in the form of problem identification, data search, screening, extraction and review. Indicators of inclusion in this study include: Journal articles for the last 9 years (2013 – 2021), according to the subject, for Indonesian language subjects, according to the subject for elementary school students, using Indonesian language journal articles, and using English journal articles. Of the 12 articles that have been reviewed, the ones that do most research are in the high class, namely class IV and V. The most widely used method in research based on the results of the literature review is using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which obtained a percentage of 12.02%. . And all articles that have been reviewed 100% have increased and are influential in using the Paired storytelling learning model. Because by implementing the paired storytelling model especially in speaking skills, students will play an active role and the learning situation will be more enjoyable.
