Abstract
Parenting self-efficacy is one of the factors that influence parenting behavior by parents. Low parenting self-efficacy is positively correlated with parental depression, parental defensive behavior and controlling behavior. Talking about parental depression, defensive behavior and controlling behavior, psychological well-being has the same meaning in expressing one's inner feelings for his life experiences. This study aims to determine the effect of Parenting Self-efficacy training on psychological well-being before and after training for mothers with children with special needs at SLB-C Santa Lusia. The method used in this research is quantitative Quasi Experimental method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were 30 mothers who have children with special needs at SLB-C Santa Lusia, Bekasi. The research instruments used were Parenting Self Efficacy training module and psychological well-being scale using Likert model. The results showed an increase in psychological well-being between before and after training. The mean score of psychological well-being before training was 161.73 and after training (post-test) became 185.4 (mean difference of 23.67). The results of the comparison test between before and after the Parenting Self-efficacy training obtained a value of p=0.000 (p value <0.05).
