Abstract

This study examines the English learning strategies that are most widely used by students, as well as to find out how student learning outcomes during the covid-19 pandemic at SMK Putra Bangsa 1 Cibening. The instrument used are Post-Test and Questionnaires which were developed by Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) version 5.1 which was adapted from the 1989 Oxford theory. This research was conducted on class XII students majoring in TKJ. The results of this study indicate that the most widely used English Learning Strategies by class XII TKJ students are Memory Strategies and Social Strategies which have the same value with an average score of 4.67 which is a level high. While the Metacognitive Strategy, Cognitive Strategy, Compensation Strategy, and Affective Strategy are included in the level low category with an average score of 2.0, 1.67, 1.33, and 1.33.
