Abstract

This study discusses how the form of fan culture in the JKT48 fandom on Twitter social media. This study uses a qualitative method by using the method of content analysis. Primary data was obtained through observations on Twitter social media and in-depth interviews with 2 informants and 2 key informants. The results of this study indicate that the content/posts on the JKT48 Inshanity fandom presented on Twitter social media use text and image formats or commonly referred to as verbal and non-verbal messages. The form of fan culture in the JKT48 fandom was formed because of popular culture that is trending and easy to adapt. The formation of fan culture on Twitter social media is carried out by the JKT48 Inshanity fandom admin, which is aimed at fans and for JKT48 members. The form of fan culture by the JKT48 Inshanity fandom admin on Twitter social media is carried out through posts containing show recaps, video call schedules, merchandise products, hashtags, fan art and projects carried out on Twitter social media.
