Abstract

Natasya Amani Fatihah 41182191220030 : Improving Fundamental Locomotor, Non-Locomotor, and Manipulative Movement Skills Through a Game Based Learning Approach Among Third-Grade Students at MI Al-Huda Rawasapi. His study aims to optimize fundamental movement skills, including locomotor, non locomotor, and manipulative skills, through the implementation of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) approach among third-grade students of MI Al-Huda Rawasapi Tambun Selatan. The problems underlying this study include students’ low fundamental movement abilities, suboptimal learning motivation, and low levels of active participation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning activities. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 29 students of class III-D at MI Al-Huda Rawasapi, including 16 male students and 13 female students. Data collection techniques included observation, fundamental movement skills tests, and documentation. The findings revealed an improvement in students’ fundamental movement skills after the implementation of the Game-Based Learning approach through the Spin and Run game and word-arranging activities to form sentences. In the pre action stage, the students’ completion rate in the word-arranging activity reached 41%, while in the Spin and Run game it was 34%. Furthermore, in Cycle I, the completion rate increased to 55%, and further improved in Cycle II until it met the predetermined success indicators. Therefore, the implementation of the Game Based Learning approach proved to be effective in improving students’ fundamental movement skills, learning motivation, and active participation in PJOK learning activities.
