Abstract

Fathers' involvement in parenting is a continuous, active participation that has a positive impact on a child, one of which is their social skills. Prosocial behavior is any form of behavior that benefits others, both physically and sychologically. This study focuses on fathers' involvement in the prosocial behavior of early childhood children at Kartika IV-18 Kindergarten. Fathers' involvement in parenting is interesting to uncover, given their crucial role in child development. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between fathers' involvement and prosocial behavior in early childhood. This study was quantitative, with a population of 72 fathers and their children. The father involvement instrument used the Lamb Scale (Siti Nurhani, 2020) with an r value of 0.737 and the Eisenberg scale for prosocial behavior with an r value of 0.724. Data analysis techniques used descriptive techniques, Rank Spearman hypothesis testing, and Pearson Product Moment. The results showed a significant positive relationship between fathers' involvement and prosocial behavior (r = 0.636, p < 0.00).
