Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to describe and analyze the role of School Committee participation in improving employee management performance through a managerial transparency and participation approach at Madrasah Tsanawiyyah (MTs) Fatimiyyah, Bekasi City. The background of this research is based on the importance of collaboration between the madrasah management and the School Committee in establishing good educational governance, particularly in terms of accountability, efficiency, and the effectiveness of staff performance. The research method used is a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study include the head of the madrasah, administrative staff, teachers, and members of the School Committee. The findings reveal that the active participation of the School Committee in the planning, supervision, and evaluation of employee work programs has a positive impact on improving employee discipline, accountability, and work productivity. Managerial transparency—manifested through open information, activity reports, and budget usage—encourages the development of trust and synergy between the school and the committee. In addition, the Committee's participation serves as a medium to convey community aspirations to the madrasah management, thereby strengthening participatory organizational governance.
