Abstract
Lailatul Fitriah Eka Putri. The Principal’s Strategy in Enhancing Teachers’ Profesional Competence through TPACK at SMAN I setu, Bekasi Regency. Thesis 2025. Graduate Program, Islamic University “45” Bekasi. Teachers are strategic elements in the education system who directly influence the quality of learning and graduates. Law Number 14 of 2025 states the teachers must posses four basic competencies, including professional competence related to mastery of teaching materials, understanding of scientific structures, and the ability to apply meaningfull and contextual learning strategies. However, the results of the teacher competency test show that the national average of teacher’s professional competence is still below the expected standard. In addition, rapid technological developments require teachers to be able to integrate technology into learning acitivities. The purpose of this study is to identify the principal’s strategy in improving teachers’ professional competence through Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) at SMAN 1 Setu, Bekasi Regency. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation study. The research informants consist of the principal, the vice principal for curriculum affairs, teachers, and students. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity was ensured through methodological triangulation. The results of the study show that: (a) The principal formulates various policies to direct and mobilize all educational resources in the school to achieve the established vision, mission, and educational goals. The principal’s strategy focuses on strengthening a productive work culture, improving the quality of learning, and developing teacher and educational staff professionalism through continuous motivation, coordination, and guidance; (b) Teachers at SMAN 1 Setu possess professional competence in mastering subject matter extensively and deeply in terms of substance, structure, concepts, and scientific methodology. They also demonstrate the ability to relate subject matter to real-life contexts, develop effective learning strategies, and continuously improve their own quality; (c) Teachers integrate TPACK into the learning process by utilizing technology such as PowerPoint, instructional videos, interactive quizzes, and online platforms according to students’ needs. Teachers who understand Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), as an integration of technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge are better equipped to create effective and enjoyable learning experiences.
