Abstract

This research aims to: (1) To find out what environmental factors influence bullying behavior among junior high school students in North Bekasi. (2) To determine the extent to which environmental factors outside the school, such as the community environment and school activities, play a role in shaping protective behavior among junior high school students in North Bekasi. This research method is quantitative descriptive with the sample population using a multistage random sampling technique. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews. The data analysis techniques used include instrument validation tests using product moment correlation analysis, instrument rehabilitation tests using Cronbach's alpha analysis. The results of the research showed that 253 respondents analyzed environmental factors which greatly influenced bullying behavior. North Bekasi District, namely: (1) Family Factors. Family harmony also influences the formation of a person's attitudes. If the harmony in a family is in trouble, then other family members look for an outlet, one of which is bullying. (2) Environmental Factors. It cannot be denied that the environment is the biggest factor in forming an attitude. It is true that the saying goes that if we hang out with a perfumer, we will catch his scent. (3) Third, mass and non-electronic media. This can form a pattern of bullying behavior in terms of the impressions they display. Moreover, violent shows will certainly shape children's behavior to be tough. (4). Factors such as the community environment and activities outside of school, play an important role in shaping bullying behavior among junior high school students in North Bekasi District. An environment with aggressive norms or lack of supervision, as well as activities that do not support the values of solidarity, can encourage bullying behavior. Lack of involvement in positive activities, thus affecting their tendency to behave in bullying.
