Abstract

Women's representation in politics is guaranteed by law. In accordance with Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections, it states that the candidates for regency / city DPRD members determined by the political party administrators participating in the regency / city level general elections contain at least 30% women's representation. In this study, the focus of the problem is how the strategy of female legislative candidates in winning the election of DPRD members in Bantul Regency and what are the obstacles faced by female legislative candidates in the election of DPRD members in Bantul Regency and efforts to overcome obstacles. This research uses qualitative methods. Sources of research data include observation, interviews, documentation and meta data. The data validity test in this study used source triangulation techniques. The results showed that the winning strategy of elected female candidates from the Democratic Party in electoral district 1 in the election of DPRD members in Bantul Regency use
