Abstract

PT Nutrifood Indonesia is an industry that operates in the food sector, especially health food and drinks, where these products require more critical handling in their production so that they can be consumed properly by consumers. Therefore, the aim of this research is to take into account the quality problems that occur at PT Nutrifood Indonesia, namely the presence of packaging defects resulting from secondary packaging. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a six sigma approach to analyze quality control of packaging defects in the secondary packaging process, then uses a QC tool as a tool for the research and data analysis process, which then obtains the results to provide recommendations for improvements to problems in the secondary packaging process. . The analysis results show that the percentage of each packaging defect is 28% grammage #ok, 27% print #ok, 24% glue #ok, and #ok dents/tears 21%. In the secondary packaging process, most of it falls within the scope of the UCL and LCL, meaning that many samples in this area behave normally or have good capabilities, but there is some data that still exceeds the UCL, namely in the 1st and 10th months. The discussion above can be concluded that There are still deviations found in packaging quality control in the secondary packaging process. Steps taken to minimize packaging defects in the secondary packaging process, namely by making improvements covering the environment, materials, methods, machines and people
