Abstract
Sweet corn is a horticultural that’s widely consumed by Indonesian individuals. Yoyo Corn Garden is a natural tourist attraction that cultivates sweet corn. The sweet corn harvest at Yoyo Corn Garden has not been able to meet the needs of its visitors because the production process has encountered problems and is faced with production risks. This research aims to determine production risks and production risk management strategies to minimize losses. This research used descriptive analysis to identify production risks, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis to find risk priority number (RPN), and risk ranking for handling. The results of the research show that six priority production risks must be handled effectively, such as unpredictable weather, pest attacks, corn seed quality, accurate application of fertilizer doses, expensive fertilizer prices and a scarcity of subsidized fertilizer, and sweet corn picking by visitors. Handling that can be done include planting by paying attention to the location and depth of the planting hole based on the type of season, spraying anorganic pesticides and soil reversal, soaking seeds to select seeds that are not good and seeding, giving a mixture of urea and NPK fertilizer as much as 5 grams per plant, adding organic fertilizers, and giving a direct appeal to visitors not to do picking of sweet corn without the supervision of garden employees.
