Abstract
In recent years drones have become a popular tool used in several activities such as photography, military and entertainment. Operation requires skill and precision in balancing drones. One of the effort to improve skills in flying a drone, an additional system is needed so that drone can be flown in a balanced manners. Therefore, testing was carried out on the implementation of the orientation control systems on drone using Arduino Nano and MPU6050 sensor. This test aims to seehow effective the orientation control systems is in controlling speed changes on each drone motor. Speed changes is obtained by processing the angle reading based on drone’s movement. To support this test, an orientation control system was created using Ardiano. Arduino function to process angle readings detected by MPU6050 sensor. The reading results are sent to each drone motor so that it can changes the rotation speed. Based on test results, shows that the orientation control system applied to a drone is not effective when using drones that are already sold on the market. However, this orientation control system can be effective when used on self-assembled drones.
