Abstract
Falih Izzuddin Shidqi 41187004190011 Alfa Rizki Darmawan 41187004190005 Problem formulation How to design a generator mount using a 50 – 250 Ampere generator drive engine with a 160 cc engine. How do vibration variations occur in the generator and engine? 3. Calculation of the ratio of engine and generator rpm variations. 4. How much current variation does it produce? Objective Complete the requirements for completing education at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Islamic University "45" Bekasi. 2. Apply and develop knowledge and practice while studying at college. The method used in this research is the quantitative descriptive research method. In its description, the quantitative descriptive method is a type of research method that can describe and interpret objects according to what they are. The methods used in this research are observation, documentation and literature study. And the data analysis technique used in this research is by using design. A generator engine design was produced using a 50-250 A generator drive engine with a 160 cc engine using gasoline with AC and DC output. Vibrations that occur in engines and generators above the ISO 10816 standard, namely 17.1 mm/s, are categorized as dangerous. At speeds of 2000, 2500, 3000 rpm on the engine, an average difference of 30 rpm on the generator is obtained. The A current produced by the generator at speeds of 2000, 2500, 3000 rpm for each load is: At engine speeds of 2000, 2500, 3000 rpm with a hand grinding load, an average of 2.5 amperes is obtained. At engine speeds of 2000, 2500, 3000 rpm with a load with a seated grinder/cutting wheel, an average of 1 ampere is obtained. At engine speeds of 2000, 2500, 3000 rpm with an electric welding load, an average of 12.5 amperes is obtained. It is hoped that bearings or mountings will be provided on the generator engine so that vibrations when the engine is running are not excessive. If you want to be more stable when using the generator engine, the rpm used is 2500 rpm and above. In order to produce maximum electrical output, the generator pulley can be enlarged. In positioning the generator assembly, it should be designed so that it can be changed or adjusted according to the distance between the generator and the engine for v-belt positioning.
