Abstract

The use of induction motors is widely used in industry because of the low price, easy handling and large performance being the advantages of induction motors, but behind the advantages there are also shortcomings during operation such as high starting currents, bearing damage and excessive temperatures. The benefit of this research is to detect potential induction motor damage as early as possible before further damage occurs by making and implementing an induction motor vibration and temperature monitoring device. The use of ADXL345 sensors as vibration sensors and MLX90614 sensors as temperature sensors using VibXpert II measuring instruments as motor vibration validation tools and Thermal Gun measuring instruments as temperature validation tools, the machine that will be monitored in this study is a 160 KW 3000 rpm Fan engine. The method used for this research is descriptive research, the results obtained when monitoring the temperature of the induction motor comparison between the MLX90614 sensor and the Thermal Gun average value of 0.55% difference. Delay when sending data from NodeMCU to ThinkSpeak there is an average delay of 3 seconds. The vibration value limit obtained from the ADXL345 sensor with the classification value of Pre-Warning (>7.17) m/s2, Warning (>11.4) m/s2 and Alarm (>22.79) m/s2.
