Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' English vocabulary through animated video media in Class V E SDIT Darojatul Ashfad. The research was conducted with a class action research approach through a research design of 2 cycles, each cycle was carried out according to the changes achieved as designed in the factors investigated. From this research, the steps taken in improving English vocabulary are by using animated video media in English lessons for class V E students in semester 1 through class action research. Mastery of vocabulary is the skill tested in this study. Learners have difficulty understanding the spelling, meaning and pronunciation of English vocabulary. One method that can be used to improve vocabulary is by using animated videos. Animated videos are interesting and interactive media that can attract the attention of children and adults. Animated videos can also present information visually, which can help improve comprehension. From the results of research data from cycle I and cycle II, animated video media can improve vocabulary skills in English subjects. this can be seen from the increase in cycle I and cycle II respectively, cycle I 57% and cycle II 90.4%. There was an increase from cycle I and II of 33.4%. With an average score in cycle I of 69 and cycle II of 89.2. This shows that there is an increase in students' English vocabulary through animated video media in class V E SDIT Darojatul Ashfad.
