Abstract
Putri Wulandari's daughter. NPM 41182911180047 ”K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi in Madrasah Development” Thesis. Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Islamic University 45 Bekasi. This study aims to find out, explain and declare: the thoughts of K.H Abdul Karim Nawawi in the development of madrasas and to find out what methods were put forward by K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi in madrasah development. This research is a qualitative research, the author combines it with interviews (field research), on the grounds that the character under study is still alive. This study uses a research approach, namely the historical-sociological approach. The data collection method used is; documentation and interview methods, with descriptive analysis techniques. The problem in this thesis research is: how is the concept of madrasah development according to K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi? And how are the ways of developing madrasas according to K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi? The results of the research show that K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi is: Futuristic, visionary, combination. And, the policies that K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi issued a futuristic, socialist policy (prioritizing the interests of the grassroots). Conclusion in this study In particular, K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi did not expressly express his statement or thoughts about the concept of development in madrasas. However, through his quite realistic thoughts in several of his scattered writings, it shows that K.H. Abdul Karim Nawawi quite clearly pays attention to the dynamics and problems of education. He proved this by applying his thoughts to the madrasas he currently leads. Keywords: Development, Madrasah, Thought
