Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of PAI teachers in preventing LGBT students at Bani Saleh vocational school. This research was motivated by the rise of LGBT incidents among society and even entering the school environment. This is of course a concern for a teacher, especially PAI teachers who have the responsibility to make students have good morals. This research is field research. The type of research in this thesis is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The subjects of this research were PAI teachers and class X students at Bani Saleh Vocational School. The data analysis methods in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that there have been efforts to prevent LGBT behavior from an early age at Bani Saleh Vocational School, even though there are no students who have been indicated to have LGBT behavior. Efforts to prevent behavior from an early age among students at Bani Saleh Vocational School are generally carried out by first, outreach about the dangers of LGBT behavior and efforts to prevent it. Second, through habituating students to carrying out various religious activities. Apart from that, the role of PAI teachers in preventing LGBT behavior from an early age is as educators, mentors and supervisors.
