Abstract
The purpose of writing this thesis is to analyze the Qur'anic perspective on gender equality and its implications for Islamic religious education. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis, this study reveals that the Tafsir Al-Misbah and Tafsir Al-Azhar specifically states that everyone has the same rights, both men and women, in carrying out religious obligations and leading a better life. From the results of the analysis, the Tafsir Al-Misbah and Tafsir Al-Azhar prohibits unfair attitudes or discrimination against women. The Tafsir Al-Misbah and Tafsir Al-Azhar clearly emphasizes the importance of gender equality and points out the need to treat women fairly and respect them. In the context of Islamic religious education, the implication of gender equality is that women must be given equal opportunities to obtain quality religious education, to access in-depth knowledge. Islamic religious education must be inclusive and fair because education reflects the values of gender equality and eliminates stereotypes that limit the role of women. With Islamic religious education, men and women can develop a better understanding of their religion, which is based on the perspective of the Koran. In addition, men and women can also appreciate their roles and contributions in society, and work together to build a more just and equal society.
