Abstract
This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. Data collection techniques were carried out by: 1) interview, 2) observation, 3) documentation. The process of data analysis is through collecting, sorting, and checking the validity of the data. Checking the validity of the data, the researcher used the data triangulation method. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Implementation of the Drill Method in Improving Activities and learning outcomes of Islamic religious education at SMK Iman and Taqwa Darurrahim Jakarta, namely: a) planning in the form of syllabus and lesson plans, b) implementation through the Tahfidz programme, c) evaluation through simakan, tasmi' and tahfidz certification 2) the effectiveness of the Implementation of the Drill Method in Improving the Activities and learning outcomes of Islamic religious education at SMK Iman and Taqwa Darurrahim Jakarta is measured through: a) the achievement of the target, b) the implementation of the evaluation programme, c) the ability of students to follow the school programme, 3) the supporting factors of the process of Implementation of Drill Method in Improving the Activity and learning outcomes of Islamic religious education at SMK Iman and Taqwa Darurrahim Jakarta, good cooperation from all school members, support of student guardians. While the inhibiting factors: Supervision of students outside of school, diverse backgrounds of students, excessive use of gadgets, lack of Islamic religious education learning time at school, lack of PAI teachers, supervision of students outside of school, and diverse backgrounds of students and parents.
