Luki Apriliasari. 41182911190019. TIMOTHY D. WALKER'S EDUCATIONAL THOUGHT CONCEPTS AND ITS RELEVANCE TO ISLAMIC EDUCATION. Islamic education study program. Islamic University "45" Bekasi. 2023 M/1444 H. (112 Pages). The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of education in Finland from the perspective of Timothy D. Walker and to prove the relevance of the concept of education in Finland from the perspective of Timothy D. Walker with Islamic education in Indonesia. The problems of Islamic education are more familiar with the lack of efforts to improve the education system and renewal which are slowing down with social, political changes and advances in science and technology. To overcome this problem, it is not enough to only rely on teachers, synergy is needed between teachers, educational institutions, the government and the wider community. In fact, based on data from the Ministry of Finance, Indonesia has provided 20% or the equivalent of IDR 472.6 trillion from the state budget in 2022 for the education budget. This research uses a type of qualitative research with library research as data sources. Thus, for data collection there are two types of sources, namely primary and secondary sources. The analysis technique used is content analysis. The results of the study show that education in Finland prioritizes the welfare and happiness of teachers and students. Curriculum policy in Finland is completely up to the teacher. As for the relevance of Timothy D. Walker's educational thoughts to Islamic education, namely: universal educational goals, school starting age, rest and recharge after school, prustella (justification), elinikainen oppiminen (lifelong learning), learning with nature, and getting to know each other.
